Jessie is a sophomore at Brown University from Shanghai, China, planning to major in International Relations and East Asian Studies. She served as the Co-Director of 2020 Brown China Summit Humanities Panel and planned a conversation on the history of Chinese students studying in the US. With a passion for cross-cultural communications, she has been volunteering at Shanghai Jewish Refugee Museum as a tour guide since 2017, proudly bridging Chinese citizens and visitors around the world through storytelling and listening to witnesses’ life experiences. Her summer at Yale Young Global Scholar program in 2018 exposed her to inspiring conversations with students from different backgrounds, which further ignited her commitment to improve China’s relation with the world.
Dedicated to minimize misunderstandings in US-China relations, she is looking forward to be a part of the UCBRC Member Relations Team to engage more students into constructive dialogs.
