Kyra is a rising senior at Harvard University studying Government with a language citation in Mandarin Chinese, originally from Toronto, Canada. She spent this past summer interning at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center for Global Policy, conducting research for Professor Tang Xiaoyang, resident scholar and deputy director of the Center, and the summer before studying intensive intermediate Chinese at the Harvard Beijing Academy. At school, Kyra was the Co-Chair of Harvard Undergraduate Political Consulting, a professional non-profit student organization providing pro-bono consulting work for domestic and international campaigns and NGOs. While her research interests are mainly centred on the impact of the rise of China on developing regions, as a Canadian, Kyra is acutely aware of the importance of US-China relations in global affairs and she is excited to learn more from her peers through this experience.

柯秋岚来自加拿大多伦多，目前是一名哈佛大学的大四学生，专业为政治科学。上个暑假，她曾在清华卡内基全球政策中心实习，主要工作为向中方主任及驻会研究员唐晓阳教授提供政策问题研究支持。前一个夏天，她在北京参加了哈佛北京书院举办的精读中级汉语课程项目。在哈佛大学，她是哈佛政治咨询组织的联合主席。哈佛政治咨询组织是一个专业的非营利学生组织，为国内外的政治活动和非政府组织提供无偿咨询服务。柯秋岚对中国崛起对于发展中国家的影响有着浓厚的兴趣， 但因为她是一个加拿大人，她同样了解中美关系对于世界的深远意义。柯秋岚希望通过UCBRC平台学习到更多的知识和经验，并加深她对中国相关问题的理解。
