Member Relations Team Positions

Member relations team is mainly responsible for fostering community and a sense of belonging among our members, including hosting regular discussion and social events, surveying member preferences, and producing monthly newsletters for our members. This team also works on building partnerships with other student organizations in China and the US and collaborating with them on various projects. 

Positions available:

US-based Liaison

  • Connecting with student groups at American universities and organizing projects together. For our existing formal partners, see here. We also have many informal partners. 

  • Supplement the Beijing team (communications, organization, and any other tasks during the Beijing team's night-time).

  • Speaking ability in Chinese prefered. 

China-based Liaison

  • Connecting with students groups at Chinese universities and organizing projects together

  • Maintaining relationships with Chinese student groups 

  • Supports the Beijing team 

  • Needs to be physically in China right now, attending a Chinese university

  • English speaking fluency

Community Liaison

  • Outgoing and positive personality

  • Able to handle communications with many people; good people skills

  • Organize monthly discussions

  • Fluency in Chinese prefered

  • Requirements: Communicate with members on a regular basis. Ensure that the wechat group isn't dead. Possibly host the monthly discussions. 

Newsletter Manager

  • Oversee the newsletter, ensure language is fine, design is strong

  • Need good language skills in both Chinese and English

  • Communicate with other team members to obtain information for the newsletter

  • Requirements: Time commitment, Interest in US-China relations. Team player

General team members

  • Interest in US-China relations, passion for community building

  • Can choose which sub-team to work in (see skills required above) 

  • Able to consistently devote time
