Nathaniel is a second-year Master’s student at Tsinghua University, studying Chinese Politics and Foreign Policy. Originally from Sacramento, California, he received his BA in History from Oberlin College in 2017 and his MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago in 2019. Nathaniel previously served as a Young Ambassador at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center and as an Intern with the Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing. At UCBRC, Nathaniel hopes to spread awareness about the positive-sum elements of US-China relations.
