Nicola is from Arlington, Virginia, and a junior at Bryn Mawr College. She is majoring in East Asian Studies and Psychology with a minor in Chinese. Over several summers, Nicola has had the opportunity to study Chinese in Kunming, Qingdao and Harbin. In addition, she also taught English to Chinese elementary students in Kunming and continues to teach them remotely. She is interested in educational policy and EdTech and using technology to help create effective learning and communications platforms in the US and China. Nicola is really excited to be joining the UCBRC and to further connect with students who share an interest in US-Chinese relations.
