The short film Alienated redesigns the soundtrack of a past family film footage, and reconstructs this daily sequence from the perspective of an electronic voiceover. Under the perspective of a digital era, the family that enjoyed intimacy and personal contact in reality becomes “aliens visiting the earth” as described by the voiceover; language has become decipherable data flow in this case. Yet, the fact that understanding of intimacy and love is lost within the digital era is what actually makes viewers the ones that are alienated.

Alienated
